During the 2012-13 school year, over 50 students at Callison Elementary School, grades 2nd through 5th, will serve as "Tech Heroes". Tech Heroes, are students nominated by their teachers who demostrate keen interest in technology and desire to serve their classrooms. In order to complete the nomination selection process, each Tech Heroe nominee had to fill out an application and listed their interests as well as their strengths in technology. For the entire school year, these students will be responsible for retrieving and returning the laptops, locking the carts, emptying the recycable bins, and ensuring the laptops are kept clean and well maintained by all students. In addition, Tech Heroes will also be required to attend monthly meetings where they receive computer training, learn technology tips to share with their classes, and expose students to career opportunities and technology experts!
